Bella rossa estate products and mission

Our Story

Nestled in the soft, rolling mountains of northwest Georgia, Bella Rossa Estate is home to a healthy, vigorous herd of show quality Nigerian Dwarf goats. In many ways, my adolescent ”fairytale dream” of becoming a professional goat breeder has come true.

Owning and operating a large scale dairy goat program has its trials, tribulations, joys, and occasional disappointments. Daily chores may vary with the time of the year, nevertheless, the one consistent aspect of farm-life is the endless amount of hard work required.

Kidding season is especially a Busy, exhausting time at Bella Rossa Estate.  Imagine thirty-plus pregnant does giving birth to nearly seventy  the span of forty five days!  Some baby goats like to be born at 3:15 in the morning.  Of course,  it hardly ends there;  all of the kids must be kept safe, warm, and well fed.  None the less,  when our kids have grown beyond needing their mother’s milk, it’s time to make goat milk soap!

At Bella Rossa Estate, our flock feasts daily on New Mexico alfalfa, locally grown grass hay that is free of sprays, essential minerals, and all natural, clean grains. Regular milk testing provides the information we need to ensure the girls are getting exactly what they need- not too much and always enough! Our herd, as a whole, produces milk that is rich in fat, protein, lactose, and minerals.

Until placed back on her breeding schedule, a doe will continue to be pushed to produce her peak milk that is both high quality and substantial in quantity. This surplus of milk is what permits us to produce soap.

Goat Milk Soap

Goat milk has a number of benefits when used topically. I won't make a huge list in hopes that I won't bore you, but here are some of my favorite benefits-

- It has alpha-hydroxy acid that aids in cleansing and softening

- It is less allergenic than typical store bought soap

- It is known to reduce skin inflammation, dry and damaged skin, and its been recently proven to reduce acne.

Our Practices

We only use products that are naturally, holistically, and responsibly sourced. The goats are fed only natural grains which all can be easily identified at a glance. The oils we use are specifically from companies that source responsibly and ethically. We are committed to limiting the footsteps we leave here on Earth- after all, we only get one!

We also offer raw goat milk (for pet consumption) fresh off the farm daily

1/2 gallon- $8

1 gallon- $16
