At Bella Rossa Estate, we strive to raise happy, healthy ADGA registered goats who are poised for productive longevity and excellence in the show ring.
Growing up in rural Floyd County, Georgia, we kept a miniature horse, a couple dogs, cats, a productive, organic garden, lots of chickens, and a few unregistered pet goats. I was naturally drawn to the goats’ quirky and determined spirit- some might say it mirrors my own. maybe that’s why I like them so much! Ha!
Through high school, I remained busy with my scholastics, band, and cross country. This left very little time for my hobby farm and even less time for my beloved goats. Fortunately, the time spent in textbooks and hours and hours in front of a sheet of music led to a scholarship opportunity at Jacksonville State University. There, I dedicated every second of every day to my studies and to the ensembles I was lucky enough to be a member of.
After graduating with a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, I contemplated several graduate degree options including med school and vet school. However, with the support of my family, I followed my passion and made a serious commitment to become a successful breeder of registered dairy goats. So, here we are, 20 goats later, or 30, or something like that. Goat math!
